Playtime are a musicians collective started in 2014 by Martin Kershaw and Graeme Stephen, the core group also features Mario Caribé and Tom Bancroft.

For nearly 6 years we were a bi-weekly music event at The Outhouse, Edinburgh, featuring the very best of the vibrant Scottish jazz and music scenes. Then COVID19  drove us online in 2020 and we started live-streaming and improvising online. Then we went back to the Outhouse and in 2023 started live-streaming again from the Outhouse - just for the hell of it. Playtime is recognised as one of the leading hubs of creative music activity in Scotland.

In 2024 we released the critically acclaimed album 'Morse Code Through the Lights' which documented our online collaborative odyssey through the COVID lockdown with leading improvising musicians from around the world.
